Leeds is poised for an expanded and more delightful Christmas celebration this year! The anticipation is palpable as Leeds unveils an extensive traditional Christmas Market, sprawled across various locales within the city.
In an unprecedented move, the city center will be transformed, with streets and spaces adorned by approximately 120 Bavarian-style timber market stalls, aglow with festive lights. These stalls will play host to a diverse array of traders hailing from international, UK, Yorkshire, and local Leeds backgrounds.
The novel Christmas market will introduce three charming outdoor bar areas on prominent thoroughfares such as Briggate, Quebec Street (in proximity to the market stalls at City Square, adjacent to the train station), and Dortmund Square.
Complementing the market buzz, an array of family-friendly events and experiences will unfold throughout the city. These additions will seamlessly integrate with Leeds’ longstanding traditional Christmas offerings on Millennium Square and Victoria Gardens, featuring the perennially popular Ice Cube outdoor skating rink, market stalls, and other themed attractions. This festive lineup will further be enhanced by a stellar array of Christmas shows, pantomimes, and outdoor spectacles.
